Welcome to Gotland’s Nation Choir!

Gotland’s Nation Choir started in the spring of 2018 and we have continued to grow since. Under the direction of conductor Henry Viberud, we sing a great mix of songs. Everything from Swedish classics to unique songs in other languages. Mostly we perform our songs at the nation's gasques, but we also sing at other more specific events, such as the Uppsala Nation choir's charity concert, which is held in the Uppsala Cathedral or at the National Choir Festival. At the end of each semester, we hold a final concert.

During the spring of 2023 the choir performed the gotlandic music drama Volund with a group of folk musicians at Helga Trefaldighets church in Uppsala and on Gotland.

The choir currently has around 30 active members, and rehearsals take place on Tuesdays between 6.30 pm and 9pm in the nation's own ballroom.

If you wish to join the choir, an open rehearsal is held once every semester where you as an applicant do a simpler try-out together with members of the choir (check the nations calendar to find information about the next open rehearsal).
